Adam Queen

Adam Queen - 22 yrs

Memphis Tennessee, USA

No Regrets Tattoos - February 2010

The Tattoo - on the left shoulder. The tattoo is a living room scene of a man sitting in a reclining chair, a tv for a head, with several framed paintings on the wall behind him. Each painting has a significance to Adam.

Why That One? - The Fleur de Lis is for his mother who is originally from New Orleans. The Navy Boat is for his family who have a history of involvement with the Navy. The Cotton Bail represents his family generations who have all worked on farms.

The TV Guy has become his signature image, stenciling a similar style on canvases and other mediums of art. Adam also explained that the image is a representation of the current generations brainwashed by television and the media.

In the future he wants to get another tattoo that is Alice in Wonderland themed. Maybe something with the white rabbit. He also wants to start doing his own tattoos.

Mary Lee

Mary Lee Brown - 22 yrs

Atlanta, Georgia, USA

The Tattoo - an Ourobouros, an ancient symbol of a snake eating its own tail.

Why that one? - It is a symbol that crosses nearly every culture in the world and appears throughout history representing God, and the cyclical nature of the universe. I love it because it was done by a woman with an MFA, and I am also an artist, and it's in the style of my favorite Renaissance artist Albrecht Durer.

Favorite Place Traveled So Far - Ireland, although I also really love Disney World

Most Desired Place to Travel to - I want to go to Egypt more than anything.

What's on Your Bucket List? Ride a camel to the Pyramids, see Luxor, discover something awesome and name it after myself, get a couple more tattoos.

Travel Advice - You never need as much as you think you need. When you have everything you think you need, trim that down by about half. You will thank yourself when you don't have to lug that stuff up a mountain to get to your hostel.

How We Met - Mary Lee and I have known each other since high school in Atlanta.

Queenie

Supicha Chaiboonma aka "Queen" – 28 yrs

From Thailand originally

Job – Adventure Travel Leader, worldwide

The Tattoo – Queen has 3 major tattoos on her body, all of which when combines tell a story. The most visible one is the most recently inked, a phoenix. Wrapped around her neck like tribal necklace, it took 31 hrs total to ink it. The length of her back is covered in a twisting dragon, her first tattoo, and at the bottom of the dragon are two koi, which came second. Together they all tell a story.

Why that one? - The dragon means leadership, the koi mean wealth and good fortune, and the phoenix represents rebirth and new beginnings. "You always have a chance to fix things."

Favorite Place Traveled So Far
- the old capital city in Laos. It has a great countryside feeling.

Desired Place to Travel to - Petra in Jordan. It's a city of pink rocks

What's on Your Bucket List? I want to be part of the Cuban Mafia somehow, I want to start a pug sanctuary and I'd really like to go see penguin mating rituals in Antartica. Actually, I really just want to go to Antartica, do research or something.

How We Met - Queenie! This girl is so amazing I don't even know where to start. She was an unofficial volunteer leader at the elephant camp in Surin with me. There's nothing she can't do!

P.S. If anyone knows of a scholarship or opportunity to go research in Antartica please contact her at chaiboonmathaiguide@gmail.com She will be the most valuable asset on your trip.
